Ghostkeeper is a progressive folk and blues act from Calgary, Canada. The group takes its name from main songwriter: Shane Ghostkeeper. Their debut album Children of the Great Northern Muskeg was released on Saved by Radio on July 15, 2008 in Canada.[1] The band's second album, titled Ghostkeeper, was released on March 9, 2010 by Flemish Eye Records.[2]

Ghostkeeper's debut album, Children of the Great Northern Muskeg, was recorded by Lorrie Matheson. It gained positive recognition from music publications including Exclaim!,[3] and iheartmusic.[4]

Ghostkeeper's second, self-titled,[2] album, recorded by Jay Crocker and Scott Munro,[2] gained further positive recognition from music publications including See Magazine,[5] Eye Weekly,[6] and Exclaim!.[7] and Vue Weekly.[8] The album, released on Flemish Eye Records, served as a strong musical document of both Shane Ghostkeeper and Sarah Houle's northern Albertan origins. The album debuted at #32 on Earshot's Top 50 for the week of March 2, 2010,[9] #6 on Chart Attack's Top 30 for the week of March 9, 2010 [10] and at #28 on CBC Radio 3's Top 30 for the week of March 6, 2010.[11]
