Gill Swerts (born 23 September 1982) is a Belgian professional football player.

Career

Swerts is a defender who was born in Brasschaat, Belgium and made his debut in professional football, as part of the Excelsior Rotterdam squad in the 2001–2002 season.[1] He also played for Feyenoord Rotterdam, ADO Den Haag, Vitesse Arnhem and AZ before returning to Feyenoord in January 2011.[2]

In September 2012, Swerts signed with SønderjyskE in the Danish Superliga.

He is also known for his dive against Jetro Willems that resulted in Willems being sent off for a red card.
