Gino Lettieri (born 23 December 1966) is a football manager who most recently coached German club MSV Duisburg. Lettieri is an Italian national but was born in Switzerland.[1]
Coaching career
In 2000 Lettieri became manager of FC Augsburg after they were relegated to Fußball-Bayernliga. In 2002 they were promoted back to the Fußball-Regionalliga and he left to join the now inactive football team Bonner SC. He was in Bonn until September 2003 when he joined then Fußball-Bayernliga side SpVgg Bayreuth.
In 2006, Lettieri signed a contract with SV Darmstadt 98, he was there until the second half of the 2006/2007 season when Wacker Burghausen appointed him as their manager, but in July he was sacked following the club's relegation. 6 months later he was appointed manager of Regionalliga Süd team SpVgg Weiden.
On 9 February 2010, Gino Lettieri joined SV Wehen Wiesbaden of the 3rd Liga.[2] His first 3 matches in charge were all losses, but they managed to avoid relegation by 8 points. After a good start to the season, Lettieri signed a new contract keeping him at the club until 30 June 2013 but on 15 February 2012 with the club dangerously hanging round the relegation zone, SV Wehen sacked him, and replaced him with Peter Vollmann the next day.
After joining MSV Duisburg in 2014 and helping them gain promotion to 2. Bundesliga, Lettieri was relieved of his duties on 2 November 2015.[3]
