Giorgio Benvenuto

Formet Italian Republic President Sandro Pertini in a meeting with confederated trade unions secretaries Pierre Carniti (CISL), Luciano Lama (CGIL) and Giorgio Benvenuto (UIL).

Giorgio Benvenuto (Gaeta December 8, 1937) is an Italian trade unionist politician and syndicalist.

He was general secretary of Italian Labour Union (UIL),[1] one of the largest Italian trade union centers from September 30, 1976 to 1992.[2]

He was general secretary of Italian Socialist Party (PSI) succeeding Bettino Craxi in 1993.
