Giovanni Liverani
Giovanni Liverani (born in 1964 in Udine, Italy) is an Italian insurance executive. He has worked for Assicurazioni Generali for more than 20 years in several international positions and was one of the co-founders of the Italian direct insurer Genertel.[1] [2]
Education
Liverani attended high school in Verona, before receiving a degree in engineering from the Politecnico di Milano technical university in Milan.
Career
Liverani began his career in 1991 as a development engineer at the Assicurazioni Generali head office in Trieste. He was co-founder and board member (responsible for sales, marketing, IT and operations) of Genertel, the Generali Group’s direct insurance company in Italy. Following that, he became area manager for Germany and Austria as well as head of central Europe for Assicurazioni Generali.
Since 2013, Liverani has held several international leadership positions within the Generali Group. As Head of Business Performance Management Central Europe, he oversaw the insurance business in Italy, Germany and Switzerland. As Regional Officer, he was responsible for the insurance business in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East, Africa). Liverani has been CEO of Generali Deutschland since 1 April 2015.[3]
