"Girls Like Girls" is a song recorded by American actress, singer and songwriter Hayley Kiyoko for her second extended play This Side of Paradise. The song was released with a music video as the second single on June 24, 2015, directed by Kiyoko and Austin S. Winchell.
Music video
A music video, directed by both Kiyoko and Austin S. Winchell was released in August. It stars Stefanie Scott in the main role of Coley as the love interest of Sonya (played by Kelsey Chow).[1]
Synopsis
The video begins with Coley, who rides her bike to her best friend Sonya's boyfriend's house. Coley and Sonya fall in love with each other whenever the boyfriend is distracted. Towards the middle of the video, Coley tries to kiss Sonya, but Sonya's boyfriend grabs Coley by the hair, slamming her face into the ground, giving her a busted lip and a black eye. As the boyfriend yells at Sonya for betraying him, Coley gets up and triumphantly punches him in the face, and begins pummeling him in retaliation for how he has treated both women. Sonya pulls her away from her now presumed ex-boyfriend and she and Coley kiss each other, each having finally found her significant other.
The video ends with Coley who smiles as she rides her bike.
