Globoforce is a multinational company co-headquartered in Southborough, Massachusetts and Dublin, providing cloud-based (software as a service), human capital management (HCM) software solutions. Its social recognition solutions are designed for employees to recognize and reward each other as incentive for performance and behaviors that are mapped to company values. History and company information

Globoforce was co-founded in 1999 by Eric Mosley and Eddie Reynolds in Dublin, Ireland.[1][2] The company is backed by Atlas Venture and Balderton Capital.[3] In 2005, Globoforce re-located part of its operations to the United States.[4] Globoforce has been given numerous honors as a top place to work by The Boston Globe, Fortune Magazine, and Ireland's Great Place to Work Institute.[5][6][7][8]

In 2010, Globoforce was named to Deloitte’s 2010 Technology Fast 50.[9] In 2011, Globoforce was named as one of the fastest growing private companies in Massachusetts.[10] In 2012, The Boston Globe named Globoforce the number one small company to work for in Massachusetts.[6] In 2013, the Great Place to Work Institute in Ireland recognized Globoforce as one of its 20 Best Medium Workplaces in Ireland,[5] and The Boston Globe again named the company as a top small company to work for in Massachusetts.[7] In 2013, Globoforce was named by Great Place to Work as one of the best small and medium workplaces in the United States, as published in Fortune Magazine's annual 2013 Best Small & Medium Workplaces list.[8]
