Golda Vynohradskaya is a Ukrainian fashion designer and social activist.
Career
Vynohradskaya was born on May 4 1974 in Lviv into a family of teachers. She received a degree from the Lviv Polytechnic Institute (specialising in economics and management in fuel and energy complexes); she has also graduated from Lviv Dance Academy (specialising in direction of choreography), Institute of Art and Design of Salvador Dali (specialising in clothing and accessory design) and Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design in London (specialising in fashion and business).
From 1996–2006, Vynohradskaya founded and was a vice-president of the engineering and manufacturing company “EMV”. In 2005, she became active in design by participating in the "Autograph" competition; soon afterwards, she opened her studio and created her first collection for the Ukrainian fashion week.[1]
In 2006, Vynohradskayashe founded and became the director of a French-Ukrainian company, JOLIEDAME ("Pretty Woman"). This company specialises in designing and making fashion collections for women and children. She also created the labels "GOLDA" and "GOLDA kids".[2]
In 2011, Vynohradskaya became vice-president of the confederation of Ukrainian designers and stylists. She was also one of the founders of the “History of Ukrainian fashion” museum, which aimed to recreate the development of the fashion industry in Ukraine between 1950 and 1980.
GOLDA label
GOLDA's fashion collections became well-known across the global market and are represented in shops in Russia, Japan, China, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Canada, Holland, Sweden, Belgium, Germany, Lithuania, Kazakhstan and many others. This was a result of participation in many international fashion exhibitions.
Brand philosophy
The GOLDA brand is rooted in the philosophy that her clothing should be available in sizes suitable for everyday life, with prices affordable for normal people.
Collections
The Ukrainian airline company "Atlass-jet" uses this brand for its uniforms.

Social activity
In 2011, Vynohradskaya was responsible for the “Gold Fashion Day” – Ukrainiantour project, showing fashion collections with the philosophy "A woman must be healthy, beautiful and happy. And she mustn’t anything above".[4] The purpose of the project is to make fashion popular across many people, as well as to connect the capital more closely with other cities in order to hold more charity events.
On December 20 2013, Vynohradskaya showed a new collection of clothes in Independence Square, where female volunteers from many different regions of Ukraine were used as models.
On October 1 2014, the project "FashionGlobusUkraine" opened, encouraging Ukrainian designers to unite in support of the unity of the country, volunteering to help domestic light industry to develop.[5]
Interesting facts
- Vynohradskaya's grandmother was a famous master of tailoring. She developed this skill in Paris.
- Vynohradskaya travelled all over Ukraine, exploring people's personalities and different types of clothing from all its different regions to help with her design. She also travelled to over 20 different countries.
