The golden-breasted woodpecker (Colaptes melanolaimus) is a bird in the woodpecker family, Picidae. It is found from central Bolivia south through western Paraguay and western Uruguay to central Argentina. It was previously considered a subspecies C. melanochlorus melanolaimus.[1]
