Gonçalo Vasques Coutinho (1360s–1410s) was a Portuguese nobleman, who was the 2nd Marshal of Portugal.[1]
Biography
Gonçalo Vasques Coutinho was born in Portugal, where participated in the Battle of Trancoso.[2] After the war he was appointed alcaide of Trancoso.[3]
Gonçalo was the son of Vasco Fernandes Coutinho, senhor do Couto de Leomil and Beatriz Gonçalves de Moura.[4] His wife was Joana de Albuquerque, daughter of Fernando Afonso de Albuquerque, alcaide da Guarda,[5] and an English lady, Laura.[6]
