Gonzalo Rodriguez (born August 5, 1995) is a Paraguayan-American soccer player who currently plays for the New York Cosmos of the National Premier Soccer League as a right back[1]

Personal

Rodriguez was born in Asuncion, Paraguay, and moved to the United States with his Argentine mother when he was 5 years old. Rodriguez grew up in Corona where he began playing Soccer at an Argentine soccer school.

Club career

In 2008, Rodriguez was a member of the Bayside Academy Team who were ranked 4th best teaming the Country.

In 2010, he was a member of the Albertson Academy U.S. Soccer Development Academy Team that participated the U.S. Soccer Development Academy Finals week in Houston, Texas where they would finish 3rd best team in the country.

International career

Rodriguez would continue his soccer career overseas in Paraguay where he would go on trails with various clubs, Cerro Porteño was his destination but terms were not finalized. Rodriguez wouldd later go on and train with Club 12 de Octubre Reserve side where demands were not met. After having talks with a variety of teams Rodriguez returned to the United States where he would end up signing for The New York Cosmos B. Rodriguez Currently has 3 goals to his name.
