GoodCall is a consumer-focused education and personal finance website that launched in April 2015.[1][2][3] It is based in Fort Mill, South Carolina.

Services

GoodCall provides a free scholarship search tool, which compiles thousands of scholarships searchable by requirements like major, gender and ethnicity. The company also allows students to determine how many scholarships they need to apply to, based on competitiveness, award amount and other criteria.

GoodCall promotes open access to information and regularly releases research studies featuring data analysis on topics like Best Places for Female Entrepreneurs,[4][5] Best Cities for Teachers[6][7] and The Best Small Cities for Law School Graduates.[8] GoodCall is also a source for higher education news.[9][10][11]

GoodCall started with a scholarship search engine and in October 2015 acquired SchoolSoup.com, an online database of college scholarships.[12] The company has expanded to include resource guides to help consumers make smart financial decisions throughout life, from college and student loans to careers, retirement and other major financial decisions.

Investment and finances

GoodCall, LLC was launched in February 2015 by founder Eppie Vojt.[13] The company received seed round funding from Red Ventures, a marketing and sales services company based in Fort Mill, South Carolina. GoodCall is one of several investments by the company in education and career training. Others include CourseHorse, Treehouse, Code2Hire,[14][15][16][17] and the Golden Doors Scholarship program, which provides full college scholarships for DACA students with exceptional academic performance in high school.[18][19][20]
