Gopaisa.com is an online coupon and cashback website based in India, centering on a set of retailers to provide deals and cashback offers on products and services. It provides discounts through coupons and cashback on a variety of categories like travel, lifestyle, electronics, apparels, books, beauty products, food, mobile recharge and many other categories. It has tie ups with 550+ online stores including Flipkart, Amazon.com, Paytm, HomeShop18, Snapdeal, Jabong, Dominos, Makemytrip and others.[1][2]
History
Based out of Delhi, Gopaisa.com was launched by Aman Jain and Ankita Jain in September 2012.[3] The cashback concept wasn’t prevalent in India so they thought why not introduce in India.[4][5][6] They launched GoPaisa as a website for coupons and deals and tied up with brands including Cleartrip and Flipkart, in 2013.[7][8]
Business model
GoPaisa’s business model is based on affiliations. If logged-in Gopaisa members visit any online retailers listed on GoPaisa and make a purchase by getting directed through them, then commission is paid by the retailers to GoPaisa on each purchase made on their sites.[9] GoPaisa transfers 80% to 90% of commission amount into GoPaisa user account in the form of “GoPaisa cashback”. Users can redeem their Cashback amount by logging into GoPaisa account and clicking on the “Redeem Now button”. Users can withdraw their Cashback amount using bank transfer, mobile recharge, dth recharge, e-vouchers, paytm wallets, mobikwik wallets and payumoney wallets.[10][11][12][13][14][15]
Mobile applications
The Gopaisa.com cashback app is available for iOS and Android smartphones.[16]
