Gorci

Gorsi' or Gorci is one of the clans of the Hindu and Muslim Gurjars mainly settled in Jammu & Kashmir and Pakistan and some part of Haryana and Punjab also. They are considered highly prestigious among gujjars due to know fact as the origin of gurjar considered from Gorsi and Chechi gotras first ,later many more gotra keep on adding.Choudhry Rahmat Ali who was one of the earliest proponents of the creation of the state of Pakistan and is credited with creating the name "Pakistan" ; According to his biography by Khursheed Kamal Aziz, he was born into a Muslim Gujjar family his clan being Gorci. [1][2][3] in the town of Balachaur in Hoshiarpur District of Punjab (now Nawanshahr District), India. Raees Ajaib or Raees Choudhary is another notable Gujjar of Gorsi clan in Jammu and Kashmir.
