Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, LLP, commonly referred to as Gordon & Rees, is an American law firm with more than 650 lawyers practicing in 37 offices throughout the United States and several foreign countries.
History
The firm was founded as Gordon & Rees in San Francisco in 1974 by Stuart Gordon and Donald Rees, both of whom currently maintain active practices. In the ensuing 40 years, the firm grew from a small regional presence to a national firm with more than 30 offices. In 2014 the name of the firm was expanded to Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, adding Miles Scully[1] and Roger Mansukhani as name partners.[2]
Recognition
Gordon & Rees’s continued national growth is evidenced by the firm’s rise to #126 on the 2015 AmLaw 200 list of the largest law firms in the U.S.[3] Compiled annually by The American Lawyer, Gordon & Rees has consistently climbed the list since 2005 when the firm first appeared at #176. Similarly, Gordon & Rees advanced to #83 in the National Law Journal's 2015 survey of the largest U.S. law firms.[4] Gordon & Rees has consistently advanced in the NLJ survey since first appearing on this list in 2003 at #186.
Gordon & Rees has been ranked as a "BTI Client Service All-Star" for the past three years [5] and has been honored as a 2014 "Go-To Law Firm" for Fortune 500 companies as well as selected for inclusion on Corporate Counsel magazine's 2014 "Who Represents America's Biggest Companies" list.[6]
