Goriya clan
The Goriya are a Jat clan found mainly in the Indian states of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. They are said to derive their name from Goran Singh, a Rajput who took a Jat wife, and as such his descendants became Jat. They are found throughout Haryana and in western Uttar Pradesh. The Goriya are distinct from the Goraya, a Jat clan found in Punjab.[1]
