Nycticorax leuconotus | |
The white-backed night heron (Gorsachius leuconotus) is a species of heron in the family Ardeidae. This relatively small and dark night heron is found throughout a large part of sub-Saharan Africa. It was formerly placed in the genus Nycticorax.
