The Gotland Regiment (Swedish: Gotlands regemente), also P 18, was a Swedish Army armoured regiment located in the province of Gotland that traces its origins back to the 19th century.[3]

History

The chancellery at Gotlands regiment, P 18, in Visby, Sweden.

The regiment was created from Gotland Infantry Regiment and one armoured battalion of Göta pansarlivgarde in 1963. It was given the designation P 18 (18th Armoured Regiment). For a short time in the 1990s, the unit was merged with the wartime organized Gotland Brigade. In 2000, the unit was reorganized and renamed back to its old designation and name.[3]

In 2005, the regiment was closed down.[3]
