This is a list of administrators and Governors of Taraba State, Nigeria. Taraba State was created out of the former Gongola State on 27 August 1991 by the military government of General Ibrahim Babangida.

Darius Dickson Ishaku | Governor | 29 May 2015 | Date | PDP | On 7 November 2015, the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal for Taraba nullified the election of Governor Ishaku based on irregularities in his election as PDP candidate. The Tribunal ruled that his opponent, Aisha Alhassan of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was therefore the winner of the election. If sworn in, she will become the first female state governor in Nigeria's history. Mr Ishaku and the PDP intend to take the matter to the Court of Appeal.[1] |
