Grant Boone
Grant Boone is an American sportscaster with the CBS Sports Network calling college football and PGA golf.[1]
Biography
He joined the network in 2012 as a play-by-play for college football (Navy Midshipmen games) and professional golf. He also does play-by-play for the Abilene Christian Wildcats in his alma mater.[2] In addition to the CBS Sports Network, he has also done writing and play-by-play broadcasting on college football and basketball telecasts for ESPN, Fox Sports Net, Turner Sports, Golf Channel for golf, and CBS Radio Sports. He also was a member of PGA.com as a broadcaster.[3] Boone received Abilene Christian's Gutenberg Award for distinguished journalism. Boone broadcasts The Masters, The PGA Championship, WGC-Bridgestone Invitational and other tournaments for CBS. He is originally from Nashville, Tennessee and a graduate of Hunters Lane High School.[4] He has 3 kids--Andrew, Nick, and Anna Claire--and lives in Abilene, Texas. [5]
