Grant Russell is a Scottish broadcast journalist and producer. He is currently the Sports News Correspondent for STV News across Scotland.

Based in STV's Glasgow newsroom, Grant's work entails working in a cross-platform role between television and digital platforms, delivering breaking news, in-depth analysis and interviews with sports personalities.

Russell studied journalism at Glasgow Caledonian University from 2004 until 2007.[1] That same year, he began working as a Broadcaster and Information Editor at Trafficlink in Edinburgh. The following year, Grant took up a position at Wave 102 in Dundee as a freelance News Journalist and Broadcaster. From July 2008, he worked as Communications, Digital and Media Editor at Livingston Football Club, responsible for the editorial of the club's website and match day programme, writing content and overseeing the delivery and editing of text, photo and video. A year later, he began at STV in various roles in the STV Sport team - such as rebuilding the STV Sport website, producing and presenting online sports programmes and occasionally reporting for STV News.

In February 2014, Grant was promoted to Sports News Correspondent at STV News - a role created ahead of, but not limited to, the Glasgow Commonwealth Games and the Ryder Cup in 2014.
