Greater Jerusalem

Greater Jerusalem is the area encompassing the approximately one hundred square miles surrounding the Old City of Jerusalem.[1][2] The expansion of Jerusalem under Israeli law followed its de facto annexation of the city in the aftermath of the 1967 Six-Day War, however such expansion has remained unrecognised by the International community[3] which considers all Israeli migration and housing establishments in the area a violation of international law, labelling such housing projects Israeli settlements.[4]
