Green Mountain Valley School is a private boarding and day school in Waitsfield, Vermont. It is one of a few schools in New England and Colorado known as "ski academies" where students attend typical classes and also train in skiing.
The class schedule is unorthodox, as it revolves around training for ski racing. The school serves about 110 students in grades 8-12. Students train on the ski run Inverness, located at Sugarbush Resort, Mount Ellen. Notable alumni of the school include Doug Lewis, A.J. Kitt, and Daron Rahlves. Tuition costs around $40,000 per year.
