Greene Peninsula
Greene Peninsula is a mountainous peninsula between Moraine Fjord and Cumberland East Bay, South Georgia. It was named by the UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee in 1979 after Stanley Wilson Greene, a British bryologist working in South Georgia from 1960; with the British Antarctic Survey, 1969–74, and the Institute of Terrestrial Ecology, Penicuik, from 1974.[1]
