The Großer Hafner (3,076) is a mountain of the Ankogel Group in the High Tauern, Austria. It is the easternmost 3,000m mountain (with at least 300m prominence) in the High Tauern,[2] and also in the entire Alps.

The mountain has three glaciers, with the largest on its north face. The mountain is not a particularly hard climb, but it is long. Most climbs start from the Maltatal valley. A secondary peak, Kleiner Hafner (3018m), lies just to the south east.[3]
