Guntucky is an American television reality series produced by Leftfield Pictures.[1] Guntucky revolves around the Sumner family who own, as well as operate a gun range. The family keeps the gun range running for their customers by selling various legal firearms, from cannons to machine guns.[2] The series premiered on Country Music Television (CMT) on April 21, 2013; it was originally expected to premiere on January 26, 2013, however the date was postponed to April 21, 2013 in respect to the victims in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.[1][3]

Background

The series follows the Sumner family who own and operate the Knob Creek Gun Range, a gun range in Bullitt County, Kentucky.[2] The family keeps the gun range running by purchasing guns from customers who come to the range and selling various firearms, from cannons to machine guns.[2] Many of the episodes in the series follow a similar format. For example, in most of the episodes, the Sumner family must take on some kind of request for a customer, usually very odd requests.[4][5][6]
