In March 2016 Worland was convicted of high-range drink driving and failure to stop at an RBT. In a drunken, racist rant to police officers he repeatedly mentioned Hugh Jackman, and threatened that he would use his powerful contacts to have the charges dropped, and the officers in question disciplined.
