Gutierritos, was the name of the first telenovela produced in Mexico by Valentín Pimstein in 1958 for Telesistema Mexicano and aired Monday through Saturday at 6:30 pm on Channel 4.

With an original script by Estella Calderón was directed by and starring Rafael Banquells besides Maria Teresa Rivas and Mauricio Garcés about a weak man without character who abuse and exploit all.[1]

Plot

Ángel Gutiérrez is a good, kind, friendly, hardworking and above all very humble man who works in an office where hard and honestly carry out his work to give all his salary to his wife Rosa who treats him very badly, and humiliates him despises for being so mediocre. The children of Angelo and Rosa are Julio Cesar and Lucrezia who do not respect his father for his mother's advice who has made them believe that it is good for nothing mediocre.

In the office everyone including Angel teases her boss Mr. Martinez who puts nickname "Gutierritos" as you begin to call at the office. Out of all, Angel has the friendship and support of his only friend Jorge. Mr. Martinez gives employment to a young woman named Elena, shy, quiet and somewhat insecure but very beautiful and attractive.

Angel falls for Elena secretly hoping someday soon tell the housekeeper, is a book in which he expresses his feelings for her, but to show his friend Jorge this is fail, steals and records and publishes it being its author, Elena reads the book and is dazzled by the talents of Jorge course, while falls in love with him. Angel tries to tell the truth but no one believes him while he suffers the loss of his friend, his book and the woman he loves, Jorge enjoys the success, fame and love Elena.
