The HCUAV (full name Hellenic Civil Unmanned Air Vehicle) is an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) developed by several Greek companies. Its development started in 2013 and the HCUAV consortium consists of 6 partners, 3 University Research Groups (LFMT, CSL, LRA) and 3 SMEs (MLS Multimedia, Spacesonic Ltd, Intracom Defense Electronics) and is coordinated by the Laboratory of Fluid Mechanics & Turbomachinery (LFMT) of the Dept. of Mech. Eng. of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. It will have a length of 4.5 meters and a wingspan of 6 meters and will weight 190 kg. It will fly at a height of 3 km for 9 hours without refueling.
