HMS Coromandel was a wooden paddle dispatch vessel of the Royal Navy. The ship was called Tartar before its purchase by the Navy in 1855, and was sold out of service in 1866. She served with some distinction throughout the China Wars of 1856-8 and 1860, being present in the capture of Canton, the action at Fatshan and the attacks on the Taku Forts in 1858 and 1860.
