HP Mobile Center is a software solution for testing mobile application functionality and performance across real-world network conditions on real mobile devices. It is offered by HP Software Division of Hewlett-Packard. HP Mobile Center is a component of the HP Application Lifecycle Management software solution set.
Architecture
HP Mobile Center is a standalone server that provides mobile device access to different test applications. HP Mobile Center supports a distributed architecture where different test clients can all interact with the same Mobile Center server instance.
The HP Mobile Center environment is made up of the following components:
- The Mobile Center server
- Test devices that are connected to the Mobile Center server
- Distributed Connector (Windows and Linux versions) which can host mobile devices and connects remotely to the Mobile Center server
- A database server, which by default is run on the Mobile Center server itself
- An optional network virtualization server which can be used to test applications running under different network conditions
To set up a testing lab, the mobile devices need to be connected to the server or connector. USB connection mode is supported. Running HP Mobile Center on a virtual machine is supported.
Supported Devices
Android 4.1 and higher* and iOS 6.x** and higher devices are supported. This also includes support for latest releases of Android 5.1.1 and iOS 9.X
Integrations
HP Mobile Center can be integrated with a variety of tools, including HP Unified Functional Testing, HP LoadRunner and HP Sprinter software.
