Halostachys is a genus containing a single species, Halostachys caspica[2][3] of flowering plants in the plant family Amaranthaceae. They are native to Asia and southeastern Europe.[2] The plants are small to medium shrubs with scale-like leaves on deciduous fleshy stems attached to larger leafless stems.[2]
