Hamilton West, Hamilton, Scotland
Hamilton West is a popular area in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire. About 10 minutes walk north west of Hamilton town centre, the area includes the County Buildings, Hamilton Retail Park (Includes Sainsbury's),Holy Cross High School, Morrisons, Hamilton Park Racecourse, University of the West of Scotland, New Douglas Park home of Hamilton Academical F.C., Hamilton Sheriff Court, Hamilton Water Palace, Hamilton West Parish Church, Peacock Cross, and many bars and restaurants and takeaways, not forgetting the famous Equi's Ice Cream parlour located beside the former home of David Livingstone.
Transport
Hamilton West has a railway Station (Hamilton West). Regular trains go to Hamilton Central, Motherwell, Larkhall, Lanark and Glasgow.
The area is also well served by buses to other areas in Hamilton, as well as East Kilbride and Glasgow.
