Hancock Rescue Squad

The Hancock Rescue Squad is a combined career and volunteer EMS/Rescue station located in the town of Hancock, Maryland, United States. Established in 1967, the station responds to approximately 1,000+ emergency calls per year in Washington County, Maryland. It also runs mutual aid to assist other jurisdictions including Allegany County, Maryland, Morgan County, West Virginia, Franklin County, Pennsylvania, Fulton County, Pennsylvania, and Bedford County, Pennsylvania. Hancock Rescue Squad is part of the Washington County Volunteer Fire Rescue Association. Its station number is 59, and the facility is located on East Main Street.

Hancock Rescue Squad houses two Advanced Life Support (ALS)-equipped ambulances, one ALS-equipped chase vehicle, and one Basic Life Support (BLS)-equipped chase vehicle. The station also has one rescue squad to facilitate vehicle extrication as well as to assist in fire grounds operations, search-and-rescue, and technical rescue.
