Handaberd (Armenian: Հանդաբերդ) is an 11th-century mountain-top fortress in built by the rulers of the Kingdom of Upper Khachen and the Kingdom of Tzar (centered on the village of Zar. It is located in Shahumian Province of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic within Azerbaijan, where it lies in the Kəlbəcər Rayon.[1]
