Hans Kamecke (18 August 1890 – 16 October 1943) was a highly decorated Generalleutnant in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Hans Kamecke was killed on 16 October 1943 near Kolpen, Russia. On 27 October 1943 he was posthumously awarded the Knight's Cross.
