Awards Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross

Hans Peterburs (9 October 1912 – 11 January 1944) was a German Luftwaffe ace and recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross during World War II. Peterburs claimed 18 aerial victories during the war. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. He was killed on 11 January 1944 when he was shot down by RAF fighters.
