Hans Zhang Han (born 6 October 1984) is a Chinese actor, singer and host.
Early life
Zhang was born in Qiqihar, Heilongjiang. He entered The Central Academy of Drama and majored in acting in 2003. At the start of his life, his prudishness led him to doubt his potential to be an actor. Zhang lingered around Beijing Railway Station to make a short video. He shot his video as a romantic love story, which sprung from the story of a ragged man. As a result of the video, Zhang was rewarded and was determined to stick with acting.[1]
Career
When Zhang was in his sophomore year, he played roles in television advertisements and movies. Because he often attended public events, Zhang began to pay attention to his fashion style. In 2008, he was selected as the "most well-dressed actor" in China.
In 2009, Zhang acted in his breakthrough role as Murong Yunhai in the television series Let's Watch the Meteor Shower. When he went to audition dressed in sportswear, the interviewer exchanged witty banter with him, which impressed the interviewer and earned him the role in the series. On August 8, the television series was first broadcast on Hunan Satellite TV.
With the popularity of two seasons of Let's Watch the Meteor Shower, Zhang became famous overnight. He gained recognition for his appearance and acting skills. He received many endorsement deals for products and invitations to appear before the public, including in commercial campaigns and variety shows.[2]
In 2010, Hunan Television Channel launched a new variety show Great Sunday (给力星期天). Zhang hosted the program with Peer and Vision Wei. Compared with the other two hosts, Zhang was a green hand. However, Zhang spent time studying and performed well in the program. At the same time, Great Sunday acquired reputation and fame among the public.[3] Hans has performed in many outstanding works since his debut.
Personal life
Zhang said that his ideal lover would be a peaceful girl with long hair who does not express her feelings easily, for example, who does not profess her love or interest openly. However, with the popularity of the 'Let's Watch the Meteor Shower', there was speculation about the relationship between the two leading actors, Shuang Zheng and Han Zhang, in real life. Their close relationship in both the television drama and real life convinced people they are lovers. But Zhang and Zheng denied the rumor and said they were close friends. However, during an interview, Shuang said their contracts do not permit them to date anyone. In 2013 they finally announced they were dating,[4] in the middle of 2014, they announced that they broke up and do not mind cooperating together in any movies or TV series in the future.[5]
On 9 August 2015, he confirmed his relationship with actress GuLi NaZha 古力娜扎 through Weibo.
