Hans von Gersdorff also known as Schyl-Hans, (* approx. 1455; † 1529 in Straßburg) was an exceptional surgeon of his time. He published in 1517 the Feldbuch der Wundarzney (Field book of surgery[1]) illustrated with wood cut works attributed to Hans Wechtlin.
