Hardy (formerly, Hardyville and Hardy Creek)[2] is an unincorporated community in Mendocino County, California.[1] It is located on California State Route 1 near the Pacific coast[3] 5.25 miles (8.4 km) north of Westport,[2] at an elevation of 23 feet (7 m).[1]

A post office operated at Hardy from 1902 to 1915.[2] The name honors R.A. Hardy, who owned a wharf nearby.[2]
