Harold Alfred Cecil Blacker (15 August 1889 – 18 July 1944), styled Mr Justice Blacker, was a Puisne Judge in the High Court of Judicature, Lahore.[1]

Biography

Born on 15 August 1889, he was the son of Major Latham Charles Miller Blacker and Emily Violet Mattei.

Harold Blacker was educated at Bedford School and at Queens' College, Cambridge.[2] He entered the Indian Civil Service in 1914 and served in the British Indian Army between 1917 and 1918, achieving the rank of captain. He was appointed as Additional Judge in the High Court of Judicature, Lahore between 1934 and 1935 and as Acting Puisne Judge in the High Court of Judicature, Lahore between 1936 and 1937. He was a Puisne Judge in the High Court of Judicature, Lahore between 1937 and 1944.[3]

He married Barbara Graeme Leask, daughter of John Leask, in October 1922. They had one daughter, Nina Graeme Blacker. Mr Justice Blacker died on 18 July 1944.[4]
