Harrisville is a mostly residential Neighbourhood in Moncton, New Brunswick, which is close to Greater Moncton International Airport in Dieppe.

Boundary

A large plot of land is set for commercial area, but very little has been built yet. Borders include McAuley Road then (Imaginary line) north to the Trans Canada Highway roughly south of the bend of Urquhart Ave. Trans Canada Highway to the North and East (Moncton City Limits). Route 15 to the South until McAuley Dr.

Located 5.47 km ENE of Moncton: Moncton Parish, Westmorland County: John B Harris was an early settler here: included Shediac Road: PO 1856-1911: in 1866 Shediac Road was a farming community with about 177 families, including 6 Trites families: in 1871 it had a population of 150: in 1898 Shediac Road had 1 post office and a population of 350: PO Harrisville 1890-1930 with Eli Harris as the first postmaster: in 1898 Harrisville was a farming and lumbering settlement with 1 post office, 1 church and a population of 160: now within the city of Moncton.
