Harry Glen Beverley is an English professional rugby league footballer of the 1970s and 1980s, playing at representative level for England, and Yorkshire, and at club level for Dewsbury, Workington Town (twice), and Fulham RLFC, as a Prop, i.e. number 8 or 10, during the era of contested scrums.
Playing career
International honours
Harry Beverley won caps for England while at Dewsbury in the 1975 Rugby League World Cup against Australia, and while at Workington Town in 1979 against Wales.[1]
Harry Beverley played Right-Prop, i.e. number 10 in England's 0-25 defeat by Australia in the 1975 Rugby League World Cup final at Headingley Stadium, Leeds on the 12 November 1975.[2]
County Cup final appearances
Harry Beverley played Left-Prop, i.e. number 8, in Workington Town's 13-15 defeat by Widnes in the 1978 Lancashire Cup final during the 1978–79 season at Central Park, Wigan on Saturday 7 October 1978, and played Left-Prop in the 0-11 defeat by Widnes in the 1979 Lancashire Cup final during the 1979–80 season at The Willows, Salford on Saturday 8 December 1979.
BBC2 Floodlit Trophy final appearances
Harry Beverley played Left-Prop, i.e. number 8, in Dewsbury's 2-22 defeat by St. Helens in the 1975 BBC2 Floodlit Trophy final during the 1975-76 season at Knowsley Road, St. Helens on Tuesday 16 December 1975.
