Harry Boland (basketball)

Harry Boland (1925 − 18 December 2013) was an Irish basketball player who competed in the 1948 Summer Olympics in London, England, United Kingdom[1]

Born in Dublin, Ireland, Boland was named after his uncle Harry Boland (1887−1922), activist and politician active during the Irish War of Independence.

Harry Boland died on 18 December 2013, aged 88, in Dublin. He was survived by his wife, Noirin, daughter, Maire, sons, Harry and Gearoid, and extended family and was buried on 23 December 2013, at the St. Fintan's Cemetery in Sutton, Dublin.[2]
