Harry Gasser (December 2, 1937 – April 3, 2014, Quezon City) was a Filipino news presenter[1] Gasser was the face of the Filipino news at the time of the dictatorial regime of Ferdinand Marcos.[2]

Career

Gasser was the main anchor of RPN 9's NewsWatch during the Marcos regime. He also worked with Radio Veritas as news manager and later moved on to ABS-CBN to anchor TV Patrol in Cebu.

Personal life

Gasser was married to veteran comedian Flora Gasser. They have two children.[3] Sen. Loren Legarda, who co-anchored NewsWatch with Gasser on RPN-9, noted that "he was a proud Cebuano."[3]
