Harry Newell (born 1991) is an English film actor. He played John Darling in the film Peter Pan, which is Newell's only film credit, although he was credited with special thanks for For Robbing the Dead.
Personal life
Newell lives in London with his family. He has a younger brother. When not on set for Peter Pan, he enjoyed surfing in Australia. He plays the saxophone, enjoys swimming and cricket.
Filming experience
Newell attended Stagecoach classes for two-and-a-half years prior to being involved in Peter Pan. He was twelve years old when he was spotted by a casting director at school and invited to a Peter Pan workshop. Several weeks later he was asked to audition for the part of John Darling, and he won the part. Filming for Peter Pan was in Australia. While there, Newell was interested in the technical aspects of filmmaking, and the stunts. In 2004, Newell was nominated for the Young Artist Awards. His category was "Best Performance in a Feature Film - Supporting Young Actor" for his performance as John.
