Harvey is a 1996 American television fantasy film comedy directed by George Schaefer. It stars Harry Anderson and Leslie Nielsen. It is based on Mary Chase's play of the same name about a man whose best friend is a pooka named Harvey—in the form of a six-foot rabbit only he can see.[1] Anderson plays the role of the eccentric Elwood P. Dowd. The 1996 television version for CBS was adapted for television by Joseph Dougherty.
