Hassan Ali Bechara (born March 17, 1945 in Beirut) is a retired Lebanese wrestler. At the 1980 Summer Olympics, at the age of 35, he won the bronze medal in the men's Greco-Roman Super Heavyweight category. To this date, the Former Champion remains active in the wrestling circles as he owns two gyms in Beirut, Lebanon and he is the vice-president of the Lebanese Wrestling Federation. He was also elected as a member of the Asian Wrestling Federation. Hassan Bechara remains to this day the latest olympic medalist in Lebanon in all sporting categories. Hassan Bechara remains very prominent in the sporting circles in Lebanon and the Arab world whereas he is still highly active in most of the local, regional and continental tournaments.
