Hasyim Muzadi

Achmad Hasyim Muzadi (born August 8, 1944 in Tuban, East Java) is the Chairman of Nahdlatul Ulama, the largest Islamic organization in Indonesia.[1]

Political career

In the 2004 presidential election, Megawati Sukarnoputri and Hasyim Muzadi obtained 26.2% of the votes in the first round, but lost to Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Jusuf Kalla in the second round.[2]
