Háºu NghÄ©a Province

Háºu NghÄ©a is former province of South Vietnam. It was formed on October 15, 1963 by separating land from provinces Long An, Gia Äịnh and Tây Ninh. Its capital city was Khiêm Cưá»ng. It had 4 districts: Cá»§ Chi, Äức Hòa, Äức Huệ and Trảng Bà ng.
It was dissolved in February 1976 and land was split amongst three neighboring provinces. Trảng Bà ng district was merged to Tây Ninh Province, Cá»§ Chi district was merged to Gia Äịnh Province, and Äức Huệ and Äức Huệ districts were merged to Long An Province.
The events in Stuart A. Herrington's book "Stalking the Vietcong: Inside Operation Phoenix" took place in this province in 1971.
